Phase 3!

Whew. Done with detox. Yea! I feel amazing though, and still down 6 pounds. :) Learning to eat healthy and without animal proteins is hard, BUT it can be done and this week will prove it. The idea for phase 3 is that we will decrease protein consumption even more to allow our digestive tract to rest and reset. Did you know that animal products and protein make our digestive system work super hard? Well, they do, so for this week, since we're not exercising, we don't NEED a lot of protein, so we will get all that we need from the veggies and other foods on the plan. During phase 2 I had major cravings for my chocolate Shakeology and almost everything else around me. Hopefully that stops and my body will finally realize that it doesn't want that stuff anymore.

  1. I'm proud of you for doing this cleanse! Sounds like it's doing a lot of good. I've been off animal products for 12 years! It was really, really tough at first but it's getting a lot easier. Also, I used to rely to heavily on soy, but then I found out it's not so good for you so we have cut most of the soy out. I'm doing a cleanse right now call Raw Before Dinner. I have a green smoothie for breakfast, a big green salad for lunch, fruits for snacks, and then something cooked but sensible and vegan for dinner. Isn't getting healthy the best? I love how good I feel. :o)

  2. Thanks! I'm proud of us for sticking with it, it's been tough. There was quite a bit of soy on the meal plans, but we were able to substitute it for another form of vegan protein. Although, we did try Tempeh, but didn't like it enough to eat it again. I will definitely stick closely to this type of diet from here on out. Getting healthy is great, and it's amazing how your body responds to it. I wish that everyone I know could do this Reset and discover what their body could do for them when fueled with the proper nutrition and taken care of properly.
